About the Editor

Bodil Isaksson, Licensed Biomedical Scientist (Sweden)

Bodil Isaksson is a biomedical scientist licensed in Sweden by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare. She has professional experience in laboratory medicine, quality assurance and the assessment of scientific literature.

Her role at Food Health Lab

As editor, Bodil is responsible for the scientific and editorial quality of the site. Her work includes:

• searching the scientific literature and assessing relevant research;
• reviewing health, nutrition and supplement content for factual accuracy;
• assessing whether conclusions and practical guidance are supported by the available evidence; and
• ensuring that uncertainty, safety considerations and limitations are communicated clearly.

Editorial approach

The aim is not to turn every new study into a headline. The editorial approach considers the strength of the evidence, the size and relevance of an effect, safety, limitations and the wider body of research. Read more about this approach in our Evidence Policy.
